The innovative coil concept of extending a real singlecoil to a full humbucker with a fine-tuned separate coil enables you to access both pickup sounds with the flick of a switch. The Split/King actually houses a real, full-size singlecoil pickup that can stand on its own compared to your regular split humbucker.
