Introduced in 1976, the CE-1 Chorus Ensemble became the globe's inaugural chorus effect pedal and marked the birth of the BOSS brand. In a mere three years, its groundbreaking sound was encapsulated in the blue CE-2 Chorus, cementing the chorus effect's place in the compact series. Now, forty years later, the iconic modulated tone of BOSS's signature effect continues to captivate musicians around the world.

In 2016, marking 40 years of BOSS creativity, the quintessential analog chorus sounds made a comeback with the Waza Craft CE-2W. The CE-2W's Standard mode impeccably mirrors the iconic CE-2 chorus, while introducing a broader sound spectrum with its stereo output—a feature missing in the mono CE-2. The CE-1 mode accurately emulates the stereo chorus and vibrato from the legendary CE-1, and introduces an adjustable chorus depth—a feature the original pedal didn't possess.

In honor of the genesis of BOSS effects, the CE-2W is exclusively manufactured in Japan, mirroring the origins of the original CE-1 and CE-2.
