This Limited Telecaster Custom features a unique comfort-contoured body with belly cut, a 3-way toggle located on the upper bout and dual volume and tone controls mounted to a stylish, elongated pickguard.
The Fender® American Vintage II series celebrates the revolutionary designs that altered the course of musical history. Built with period-accurate bodies, necks and hardware, premium finishes and meticulously voiced, year-specific pickups, each instrument captures the essence of authentic Fender craftsmanship and tone.
The Telecaster® Custom marked one of Fender’s earliest forays into the use of humbucking pickups. The American Vintage II Limited 1977 Telecaster Custom reproduces the quintessential tone and feel of the original.
This Tele features a Wide Range humbucking pickup in the neck position and a Pure Vintage ‘77 single-coil Tele® pickup in the bridge position. To create an authentic Wide-Range humbucking pickup, Fender resurrected CuNiFe magnets, which had been out of production since 1981, and are an essential element in recreating the sonics of the original.
The American Vintage II Limited 1977 Telecaster Custom plays like a dream with a ‘77 “C”-shape hard rock maple neck with a 7.25” radius maple or rosewood fingerboard and vintage tall frets. Other features include a Tele bridge with 6 slotted steel barrel saddles, “F” stamped tuners, a convenient “Bullet” style truss rod nut and a three-bolt neck plate with Micro-Tilt™ mechanism.
The instruments in the American Vintage II series are direct descendants of the original Fenders: designed for players with a fine appreciation for vintage Fender tone and feel and built with unmatched quality, down to the last screw. These are Fender electrics in their purest form: Fender American Vintage II, the stuff of legends.

We offer shipping to the contiguous 48 United States only.
Handling Time
In most circumstances, we will process your order within one business day of receipt. We will package all items available from our shelf and charge your credit card for the amount of the items plus applicable sales tax and/or shipping.
$50 Minimum to Qualify
There's a $50 minimum price threshold to get access to free shipping. The only exception would be size and weight of an item.
Note: Some brands don't qualify for free shipping even if you qualify.

Orders Ship Same or Next Day
We work diligently to ship all orders within one business day, but some items require extra attention to pack. For guitars and other large purchases, please allow time for thorough inspection, setup, and specialty packing.
Most orders are shipped using standard methods. We currently use the USPS or FedEx under most circumstances.
Online Orders Only
In order to qualify for FREE shipping, orders must be placed directly on tarpleymusic.com and be more than the $50 minimum threshold. Not valid on in-store purchases or phone orders.
**Size and Weight Restrictions
Certain products are excluded from free shipping due to size and weight. Items that weigh 100lbs or more may incur shipping charges, as well as large items that need to be shipped via a freight service.
These items will be noted as not eligible.
Returns
If you choose to return your order, we will deduct the cost of shipping from any refund. See our return policy.
*Free shipping applies to orders placed in the Continental US (Lower 48) from tarpleymusic.com. Some brand restrictions apply. Expedited shipping will be an additional cost.
New Items
Returnable within 14 days of delivery.
Used & Vintage Items
Returnable within 3 days of delivery.
General Terms
Items must be returned in original, as-shipped condition with all original packaging and no signs of use. Buyer assumes responsibility for all return shipping costs unless the item was not received as described.
Refunds
Buyer receives a full refund in their original payment method less any shipping charges.
Special Conditions
• New Items: Most new, untouched, unopened items may be returned within 14 days of the date of delivery for a full refund, less outbound shipping costs. Buyer assumes responsibility for all return shipping costs, unless return is a result of incorrect shipment or defective item. Tarpley Music reserves the right to refuse any return if item is not in new, untouched, or unopened condition.
• Used & Vintage Items: Most vintage & used items may be returned within 3 days from the date of delivery. All vintage and used refunds may be subject to a small 5% restocking fee, as well as original outbound shipping costs. Buyer assumes responsibility for all return shipping costs unless return is a result of incorrect shipment.
• The following items are not returnable under any circumstances: - Strings (Guitar, Bass, Orchestra) - Reeds - Drumheads - Drumsticks - Software - Sheet Music - DVDs/CDs - Harmonicas - Mouthpieces - Earbuds/Headphones (if unsealed) - Or any item that may come in contact with the mouth, nose, or ears.
• Lifestyle & Clothing Items: - Tarpley Music utilizes a third-party platform (Printful) to provide guests with branded clothing and lifestyle products. These items are produced as they are ordered, and are therefore considered "Custom" products. Custom products are not eligible for returns at any Tarpley Music location, and we do not offer refunds for custom products. We don't allow returns of clothing ordered in the wrong size or color, and we do not cover buyer’s remorse for custom orders.
• Items sold "As-Is" and cannot be returned unless it arrives in a condition different from how it was described or photographed.
• We strive to process all refunds within 1 to 3 business days of the return been received at our location. The time it takes for the refund to post to your account could vary based upon your bank's processing times.
