This limited edition guitar, inspired by Jerry Garcia's legendary "Alligator" guitar sound, stands as a testament to Mayer's influential guitar playing. The Dead Spec Silver Sky, a customized version of Mayer’s acclaimed signature guitar, incorporates significant modifications to meet the specific needs of professional guitarists.

Crafted with a premium lightweight Swamp Ash body, a departure from the traditional alder, the guitar boasts an elegant Moc Sand satin nitro finish. This finish not only adds a visually appealing touch but also allows the finish to meld seamlessly with the ash wood grain, enhancing the guitar's aesthetic appeal. The bridge, a key component of this guitar, is a modified version of the PRS patented Gen III Tremolo, fixed to the body to transform it into a string-through hardtail bridge. This alteration enriches the guitar's sound, lending a musical warmth that resonates with every note played.

Further enhancing the guitar's sonic capabilities, the Dead Spec Silver Sky features a brass nut and string retainer bar. These elements work in harmony to augment the guitar's resonance and tonal richness, making it a choice instrument for guitar enthusiasts and professional musicians alike.

When not in use, the circuit is conveniently bypassed.
