Blast from the Past: Suspect Held In Musical Burglary
A musical burglar struck some sour notes with a broken window and a burglar alarm, causing a duet of police to bring the concert of crime to an end.
A 25-year-old man was in city jail today in connection with a break-in about 4 a.m. today at Tolzien Music Co., 3800 W. Interstate 40.
Police said they were called to the store when a burglar alarm was tripped by the breaking of a window.
Patrolman Hoyt Hugg, responding to the alarm, arrived on the scene in time to see a man with a guitar driving off in a car.
Hugg gave chase and called for backup units.
The chase went east on Wolflin for several blocks when the man being pursued jumped out of his card and fled on foot.
Patrolman Rick Folley arrested a man a short time later in the 3400 block of Junlian.
