Helping You to Keep Making Music
We know that with the advent of the COVID-19 Pandemic there is much uncertainty right now, but the team at Tarpley Music is taking every precaution possible to stay healthy and are ready to help you keep making music while stuck at home.
- All six of our locations will currently remain open during our regular business hours Monday thru Saturday from 10am to 6pm, unless we are mandated to close our doors to customers. Please follow us on our social media pages for the most up-to-date information on the status of our stores.
- We're currently offering Free Shipping on all purchases made online or via phone.* You can call your local Tarpley Music or search for products on this website using the search bar above.
- We're currently taking extra precautions to keep our store's extra clean, as well as work to keep every instrument clean. We want to have an environment that is safe for every staff member and customer that walks through our doors. We have quarantine polices in place should a team member turn ill.
- Music Educators, since many of our schools are closing for what seems like the foreseeable future, please contact us or your Education Rep with any questions or needs that you may have and we will find a way to help you.
Below are some tips to help you keep your instrument clean and safe to use during this time.
- Woodwinds & Brass
- Clean your mouthpiece after each use with soap and warm water. If you have a mouthpiece brush then we recommend using that at well, but be sure to clean it afterwards with soap and warm water.
- Do not share mouthpieces with anyone.
- Wipe down your instrument with isopropyl-alcohol on a cloth (not a paper towel). It should evaporate quickly.
- Throw away any reeds after using if you feel ill.
- Wash your hands after a playing your instrument.
- Guitars & Basses
- Wipe down your strings with isopropyl-alcohol, but be careful to not touch the body of your guitar with the isopropyl-alcohol.
- Unfortunately, there is not a recommenced way to disinfect the body of a guitar as many of the different finishes will react with alcohol and other household cleaning agents; risking permanent damage to your instrument.
- Wash your hands after a playing your instrument.
- Drums
- Wipe down your sticks with isopropyl-alcohol.
- Wash your hands after a playing your instrument.
